🖤С Днём Святого Валентина🖤 Wore this to an movie 🎥 event I had to go to for class at the Russian Embassy. All time favorite dress. I’ve been sick 😷 these past couple weeks so I haven’t really been active on the media. Feeling better now though!💕 . I did want to say something about confidence. You’re beautiful in whatever you wear. Don’t let society dictate to you their superficial ideologies of beauty. Focus on being healthy🍑, not being categorized under “fat”, “thin”, or “skinny-fat”. As long as your healthy, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! Stop worrying about what others will think 🤔 when it comes to clothes. Some will think you ugly and some won’t, that’s just how it is. Focus on what you’re comfortable with and with what you know is you. If you want to wear tight clothes that reveals some skin, cool! If you want to wear clothes that covers neck to ankles, cool! Clothes are just fabric, you get to choose what you want to wear. Satan?! no...no...no... Satin! (move “t” to the back) Saint! One of my favorite movies is Count de Monte Cristo (2002) and one of my favorite lines goes “I’m a count not a saint”. Feelin’ that vibe with this dress😹. It’s a simple satin dress with a side slit😍🖤👏🏼. Got it from NastGal cause I wanted a nice dress to wear for fancy events that adulting’s got me going through 😹. On a completely different note, I just spent around 3 hours shifting and searching through the academic calendar and trying to figure out when to schedule certain classes. I want to get my major and concentration requirements done within this school 🏫 year (junior). I’m also just having a lot of thoughts 💭 on career planning, moving out of parents by mid 2020, and just trying to get my shit together. It’s stressful and very “oh my gosh there’s not enough time!” type of feelings. There’s things I want to pursue and do in life, but I don’t feel old enough or experienced enough. There’s also just societal opinion and pressures to get “X” done before a certain time. Being a woman 🚺 is just crazy! I’m supposed to get the education 👩🏼‍🎓, get the job 👩🏼‍🏫, get a man 🤵🏼, have kids 🚼, and just do all this shit in my 20s! People tell me to focus on starting a family because my eggs start to decline by 28-30. People tell me to get that job and work hard with no social life. People tell me to save money and that finances and the definition of success. It’s just a lot. A fucking lot. I’ve always dreamed of being in my 20s. I envisioned freedom, independence, choices, and being able to pursue my purpose in life while having fun along the way. Now that I’m here though I don’t feel ANY of that! I feel like I’m making calculated decisions to please people I love, feeling trapped because I “have” to be a certain way to be socially excepted by society, and I just don’t feel like I’m good enough as a writer. Long story short, it’s a long hard road. 仕方がない : (It cannot be helped) Something I’ve really been learning about this week is just accepting what is or moving forward from things out of your control. When I was younger, I had learned the phrase しょうがない, which means “nothing can be done about it” in Japanese. However, the alternative is the one above. I learn something new everyday.(ps: language learning is hard fam) For me, I’ve had a lot of unexpected expenses that have just popped up and it can be very overwhelming. It’s easy to point fingers, place blame, and just try to avoid what needs to be done. Just gotta suck it up and do some ˈaˌdəltiNG. On a side note: I wrote some concepts and scenes down for my second book series. Haven’t been doing a lot of book writing or blogging lately, school comes first and I feel like this year is very important when it comes to learning about writing, English, and just skills to improve myself. I’ve been gaining a lot of writing ✍🏼 ideas 💡 lately! Not quite sure where it’s all coming from but I won’t question it. I have a concept for another series that I’ve thought about for a number of years, but last night I was writing out an outline! It’s one thing to have “ideas” and “concepts”, but it’s another to form it enough to write out something concrete, visual, and “book worthy”.
